Modernize design
Lead UX/UI designer and UX researcher on the new version of the website.
I started by creating the site map and identifying and listing all the possible improvements from the previous website.
I reviewed the navigation, image quality, colors, text fonts, CTAs, descriptions and content, external links.
Then I presented all my findings to the client.
Once we agreed on the next steps, I had to familiarize myself with Shopify, as the website was created with this platform.
I also searched for direct competitors website to see the potential for the new version.
Once I got the accesses and got familiar with Shopify, I started working on the first steps that were agreed:
Adding a header menu with accesses and logo
Removing duplicated information and corrections (chat, descriptions...)
Formating all the elements with same padding and size
Adding in the Footer:
Subscribe option
Links to terms and policies, social networks and pages
Logo
Cleaning the products and collections of products and reviewing classification
Reviewing use of additional apps
Creating the contact page
Reviewing and correcting navigation
After presenting all the improvements to the client, I started to work on the template design, fonts and colors to modernise the website. I also gathered information to create the "About us" section.
My objective was to create a stronger brand identity with the color. I used a more modern template from Shopify with black and white as primary colors to focus the user's attention on the product images and CTAs and also because most of the actual images had a black background. I chose a raspberry color for the buttons to get more contrast.
I created the "About us" page and activated a temporary collection of products for father's day.
I also reviewed all the app installed (WhatsApp access, marketing emails, delivery and pickup) and configured the delivery system so that the customer could select between pick-up or delivery on a specific date, simplifying the labor of the client.
The last objetive was to create an automatic billing system via emails, which is not implemented by default in Shopify.

Had GIFs and videos to modernize the website
Anticipate the creation of new collections and products
Work on the promotions strategies and communication
